"Every flight, regardless of what you fly, is an aerial performance. Whether it's tumbling end over end in front of thousands of spectators, a business trip to Chicago, or just a Sunday afternoon flight with family or friends, keeping your plane in top condition not only requires an experienced shop, but technicians that care as much about your aircraft as you do.
The Lucas Oil Air Show Plane is an extension of my personality. I push it hard and fly it to the edge of the envelope. Keeping it maintained and inspected properly will keep me alive.
At the end of the 2008 Air Show season, and two engines later, I have put more than 750 hours of flight time on the airframe. This kind of flying is not your normal point A to point B cross-country flying. I am constantly pulling over 8 g's plus and 7 g's negative, twisting, turning and snap rolling, which causes unbelievable strain on the airframe and its engine.
It takes a great maintenance team to fix it right, to foresee any future problems and to keep pace with my 20 shows each year. I am happy to report the Lucas Oil Pitts still looks and flies just like it did when I first strapped in.
You can trust West Metro Aviation to take care of your aircraft in the same manner.
Thank you West Metro Aviation!" |
